Watercolour brushes generally differ significantly from brushes for other mediums. They are designed to hold pigment and water and then release it in a certain way. As with all art materials, there is often a bewildering array of choices, but once you know what you are looking at, the differences in brush style and hair material, and the strengths and weaknesses of each type of brush, you will be much better equipped to choose your own brushes.
