From the Barber Shop and Shoe Shine Memories licensed collection this The Greatest Luxory Vintage Metal Sign measures 15 inches by 12 inches and weighs in at 2 lb(s). Lantern slide s were the Flash signs that everyone saw in the theaters before the movie started & during intermissions. The projectionist would have to hand feed each slide so the audience could ponder the local advertising. These Glass slides were hand painted images and it’s amazing that they survived at all. In about 1915 the Capital Barber Shop had a series of clever colorful slides made & we were lucky to stumble on the group. i Colors on the metal sign are as bright as the original. This Vintage Metal Sign is hand made in the USA using heavy gauge American steel. Show more
