Toddlers and preschoolers make sense of the world around them through sensory experiences. Not only does this craft introduce unique textures and color combinations, as most of your students will not understand the art of print-making, they'll be constantly delighted with the 'surprise' left on the paper when its pulled away from the bubble wrap. Supplies You'll Need - 'Extra-cushion' bubble wrap - Tempera paint (in rainbow colors) - Paint smocks - Kids paint brushes - Craft paper Provide your students with a rainbow 'template'. While they'll be doing the painting themselves, it's nice for them to have something to copy off of. Because of the rainbow's specific patter, this can be a great lesson to discuss the importance of ordering. After each little artist has completed their rendition of a rainbow on the bubble wrap, assist them in laying their paper squarely on the bubble wrap, pressing lightly, and then removing to reveal the print.
