First discovered by renowned botanist Peter Boyce in Borneo in 2011 — and never found again in that location since — it has remained one of the most coveted collector plants in the aquascaping world ever since. Once submerged, new leaves develop an intense lilac and purple coloration that is unlike anything else in the Bucephalandra genus.
