This mini lava rock piece combines Bucephalandra — the rare, premium epiphyte from Borneo with small, often iridescent dark green to blue-green leaves — with aquarium moss, creatin g a detailed planted feature that showcases two highly regarded plant types at a compact scale. The jewel-like quality of Bucephalandra alongside the soft texture of moss on dark volcanic rock produces a striking effect that is disproportionate to the product's small size.Bucephalandra grows in low to medium light without CO2 injection and is tolerant of a wide range of water conditions, making it more accessible than its premium appearance might suggest. The moss is equally forgiving. Both are slow-growing and long-lived, requiring very little ongoing attention once established on the lava rock.Both plants are pre-established on the lava rock so no further attachment is needed — simply rinse and place in the aquarium. The lava rock sinks immediately.
