This mini lava rock piece combines Bucephalandra β the rare, premium epiphyte from Borneo with small, often iridescent dark green to blue-green leaves β with aquarium moss, creating a detailed planted feature that showcases two highly regarded plant types at a compact scale. The jewel-like quality of Bucephalandra alongside the soft texture of moss on dark volcanic rock produces a striking effect that is disproportionate to the product's small size.Bucephalandra grows in low to medium light without CO2 injection and is tolerant of a wide range of water conditions, making it more accessible than its premium appearance might suggest. The moss is equally forgiving. Both are slow-growing and long-lived, requiring very little ongoing attention once established on the lava rock. Both plants are pre-established on the lava rock so no further attachment is needed β simply rinse and place in the aquarium. The lava rock sinks immediately. Suited to aquariums of 20 litres and above and particularly popular in shrimp tanks and nano aquascapes where the Bucephalandra's small, iridescent leaves can be appreciated up close.
