This elastic has a a very fine mesh running through the centre which makes it easier fo r the pin of a buckle to pass through. It is also suitable for sling back style elastic or any other elasticated crafts :) Adding elastic to straps and buckles on footwear allows these areas of high stress to flex with wear, this can make the shoes more comfortable and last longer. This elastic is approximately 1cm wide. If you are using this within a strap or slingback style shoe, your strap needs to be at least 1.2cm wide to properly encase the ends of the elastic.
