Buena Fe (Good Faith), the most important group of alternative/Latin music in Cuba, was born in 1999 in Guantanamo. Israel Rojas and Yoel Martinez came together with a single purpo se and a sense of creating and performing great music. Buena Fe came to break the stereotypes of the soundscape of alternative music made in Cuba with influences of trova and mixing rhythms like rock, pop, guaracha, reggae and Flamenco among others.
