The Buffalo 6 Burner LPG Barbecue Griddle is a propane-powered combi unit combining open barbecue grill cooking with a large flat steel plate griddle. Running entirely on LPG, it operates independently of mains gas infrastructure, making it well suited to outdoor events, festival catering, temporary kitchen setups, and mobile food operations where a fixed gas supply is not available. With six burners and a total output of 24kW spread across a generous cooking surface, the unit is built to handle sustained high-volume service. The griddle plate handles foods that need even contact heat — bacon, eggs, onions, flatbreads, burgers — while the barbecue section allows charred, open-flame cooking alongside. Running both simultaneously gives an operator the flexibility to serve a varied menu without needing separate equipment. In practical terms, the key operational advantages include: LPG operation removes dependence on fixed gas supply lines or electrical hook-up Dual cooking zones allow griddle and barbecue output to run concurrently Large steel griddle plate maintains consistent surface temperature across high-throughput service Six-burner layout gives zone control, allowing sections to be turned down during quieter periods Steel construction is robust enough for repeated outdoor deployment and straightforward to clean down after service At 94.5kg, this is a substantial piece of equipment and will require at least two people to position and move safely. The unit's footprint is considerable, so access routes and surface stability need to be considered before deployment, particularly on uneven ground at outdoor events. LPG cylinder connection, regulator compatibility, and gas safety checks should always be carried out by a competent Gas Safe registered engineer prior to first use. This unit is best suited to caterers running high-volume outdoor events, street food operations, festival traders, or hospitality venues with seasonal outdoor service areas. For smaller-scale operations or where a more compact footprint is needed, a lower-burner-count model may be more appropriate. Conversely, very high-volume event caterers running multiple service lines may want to consider whether a single unit meets peak demand or whether two smaller units would give more operational flexibility. If you're unsure whether this unit fits your service volumes or event setup, our team is happy to talk through the options before you commit.
