Most quilters have made a circle quilt, or two, using the traditional method to create a circle block by tracing circle shapes onto prepared fabric squares, cutting the circles, ironing the circles, and then manually machine appliqueing the circles. A bit tedious, especially when the quilt top still needs to be quilted. You are going to absolutely love the in-the-hoop version of this amazing block. The Circle Build-A-Block is super easy to stitch and has many quilting design options and decorative stitches to customize the perfect project. This Circle Build-A-Block is versatile and can be used to create quilts, pillows, table runners, placemats, and much more. There are six projects covered in the step-by-step instructions, three table runners, two quilts, and a placemat or pillow project. The wonderful thing about the Build-A-Block series is that there are so many options for layouts and for projects. THE CIRCLE BUILD-A-BLOCK: Creating a Circle Build-A-Block is easy and is created in only four simple steps: STEP ONE: Select a Finished Block Size, choosing from six coordinating sizes; STEP TWO: Select a Background Quilting Motif from the five options; STEP THREE: Select a Circle Applique Quilting Motif from the six options; and, STEP FOUR: Select a Decorative Stitch from the eight options. Circle Block Sizes: 3.5", 4", 4.5" 7", 8" and 9". Minimum Hoop Size: 5" x 7" hoop may only use the 3.5" block and 4" block sizes. To fully utilize all the designs in the Circles Build-a-Block, an 8" x 12" hoop or larger is needed. Finished Project Sizes: The Color Me Pretty Table runner and Placemats, using the 4" block size: Table runner finished size: 16” x 48”; Placemat finished size: 16” square; The finished size for the Opposites Attract Table runner, if using the 4” block size, is 20” x 52”; The finished size for the Mix It Up Table runner, if using the 4” or 8” blocks, is 20” x 52”; The finished size for the Opposites Attract Quilt, if using the 8” block, is 58" x 58"; The finished size for the Circles Go Round Quilt, if using the 8” block, is 58" x 58".
