Building Blocks is a large-scale minimalist work exploring the relationship between form, texture, light and shadow. Acrylic and modelling medium (150x150cm) Using textured modelling medium, three-dimensional block-like forms are built up and arranged in an intentionally random, stacked composition. Each raised form catches the light differently, creating subtle shadows and shifting layers that give the work a sense of depth and dimension. Kept within a neutral palette, the work adds texture, architectural interest and quiet sophistication without overwhelming the space. Its restrained simplicity allows the changing light throughout the day to become part of the artwork, revealing new details and shadows as the environment shifts. Designed to make an impact through its scale and tactile quality, the work brings depth and character to a room while maintaining a calm, understated presence.
