On the Camino Francés, this large bovine calmly stood peering down as if it were as curious about us as we were about it. In typical Camino fashion, the encounter seemed both every day and ceremonial. This etching preserves that encounter in rich black-and-white texture, from the animal’s quiet gaze to the weathered stones beneath it. For this hand-pulled photogravure etching, we press ink into fine art paper from a plate we create from the original image. Print is made with Gamblin Bone Black ink on Hahnemühle Copperplate paper. These limited edition prints are signed and numbered on the lower front. Image and paper sizes are approximate. Variations within the edition are possible and expected.
