Series : Plein Air Landscapes One from a series of Plein Air painting outings, celebrating all the best spots around the Cape to Cape region. Fi founded a small group of enthusiasts who paint most weeks, searching out those iconic vistas, "our intention is to really embrace where we live". As the seasons change the trips become more challenging, but the love of being out in nature and connecting with it keeps driving them. "When ever our Plein Air group visit this location to paint, I feel like I could be painting somewhere in Italy, the shady cove near by, the high cliff, the glimpses of sea through the wind bent tree trunks - its a great place that feels a very long way away from my usual life in the studio." Most of these images were painted on small boards - easy to transport and manage on site in the open air.
