This dahlia originated right here at Burfoot Flowers, and was released in 2024! This textured bronzy ball is so charming! The petals are packed in, creating a unique squished shape that reminds me of tubular pasta. Pasta is a cut flower dream. The stems are perfectly straight, long and sturdy, with leaves angled upward making them quick and easy to strip. Pasta has a cranberry red reverse, and a bronze petal face. Some blooms have hidden petaloids curled inside. here in the PNW, Pasta blooms with rich coloring and tightly closed centers, except in the highest heat of summer, when it takes on a rosy-peach hue and can occasionally pop it’s center. Blooms are 3” ball form. The plant is beautiful: dark foliage, tall and vigorous, up to 5.5’. Pasta doesn’t require disbuddin. Stems are long, straight, and sturdy. After it's 2024 release, we got mixed reports from our friends and customers growing Pasta in different climates! The majority shared that Pasta bloomed with closed centers, but some reported unpinched plants, or high heat conditions caused open centers. This listing is for one dahlia tuber.
