Our semi-permanent Burgundy hair dye is a rich purple-red shade that will satisfy even the most intense colour cravings. To achieve vivid dark purple hair, we recommend lightening your hair to level 9 or 10. Lightening your hair will help you get the boldest results from your burgundy hair dye and really let the purple tones shine through. As this is a darker hair dye, it is suitable for direct application to level 8 (light brown) hair, but the results will be a more tonal shimmer of purple, which is more noticeable in the light. Our customers are creating their own custom burgundy shades by mixing with similar shades; Aubergine and Bordeaux.
