This maple grows a dense, well rounded crown with smaller leaves giving it a fully shady look. It has small red flowers in Spring with bright green foliage in Summer. Then, as Autu mn arrives, the tree turn a deep magenta-burgundy color for several weeks. This tree is tolerant of clay soils and wet environments.
