Watercolor and gouache on paper. I used an under painting of butterflypea tea with water to show me the image, slowly I carved it out over months. What came first was this bird lik e figure holding something up, then the hearts, then this circle and water and lastly the fire and words. I had been experiencing a crazy passionate desire for someone I had just met, I had been a meditation retreat and had so much time away from my phone and present that the feeling overwhelmed me, I wanted to capture the emotion and thus this painting was born.
