The Burns Module is a compact burn first aid pack built to sit inside a first aid kit, ready for the moment a burn or scald happens at work, at school, or at home. Everything needed to cool and cover a minor burn is sealed into one resealable bag, so a responder is not hunting through a kit for the right dressing while someone is in pain. Inside the pack you get one 75cm x 75cm burn dressing, two 7.5cm x 10cm non-adhesive dressings, a 25g tube of burn gel, a burns card and instructions for use, all held in a resealable plastic bag. The burn dressing is sterile, single-use and latex free. The burn gel is a water-based gel that helps cool the burn area and can be applied to a minor burn or sunburn. For any burn, the first step is to cool the area under cool running water for 20 minutes. The gel and dressings in this module are there to cool and cover the burn afterwards, not to replace running water.
