Original Acrylic painting by local artist, Rachel Ross: “Bursting with Joy!” 41cm x 51cm This still life artwork incorporates a bloom from my parents garden, that now sits as my mu se while I painted this collection. The protea often grows in harsh and arid conditions, yet it is divine shades of gentle pinks, soft to touch greens and whites - remaining beautiful and soft whilst growing into its full bloom. In the season of blooming I find myself in now, where I’m quite literally bursting with joy, it’s lovely to see the flowers put colour and beauty to this joy in my heart!
