Available in three sizes from 15 to 41 litres, every Firebrand features convenient electronic PIN-code locking, a removable internal tray and secure base fixing. Certified 60-Minute Fire Protection The Firebrand has been independently tested and certified by ECB-S to EN 15659 LFS 60P, providing up to 60 minutes' protection for paper documents against fire. During testing, the safe is subjected to temperatures of up to 900°C, providing valuable protection for important paperwork such as: Property and mortgage documents Birth and marriage certificates Wills and legal documents Insurance policies Contracts and business records Financial paperwork Qualifications and certificates Other important or irreplaceable documents This independently certified protection makes the Firebrand an excellent choice for homes, home offices and smaller businesses where safeguarding important paperwork against fire is the principal requirement. £1,000 Cash / £10,000 Valuables Rating In addition to its certified fire protection, the Firebrand carries a manufacturer-recommended £1,000 cash rating, equivalent to approximately £10,000 of valuables. This makes it suitable for storing modest amounts of cash, jewellery, watches and other personal possessions alongside important documents. The Firebrand is principally designed as a fire-protection safe. Customers requiring higher levels of independently certified burglary protection should consider one of Burton's dedicated insurance-rated security safes. Electronic PIN-Code Locking Every Firebrand is fitted with an easy-to-use electronic PIN-code lock, providing convenient keyless access. The batteries are located externally, helping to ensure that access can still be restored in the event that the batteries become exhausted. This makes the electronic locking system particularly practical for a fire safe that may remain securely closed for extended periods between uses. Additional Door Security Although fire protection is the Firebrand's principal purpose, its construction also incorporates useful physical security features. The door is protected by locking bolts together with fixed deadbolts on the hinge side. These deadbolts continue to secure the closed door even if an attacker attempts to cut or remove the external hinges. Practical Interior Storage Every Firebrand incorporates a removable internal tray, providing convenient organisation for smaller documents and possessions. Sizes 2 and 3 additionally include an adjustable/removable shelf, allowing the interior to be configured around different storage requirements. Removing the shelf also allows larger items to be accommodated when required. Secure Base Fixing Correct installation is an important part of safe security. The Burton Firebrand incorporates base fixing, allowing the safe to be securely anchored to a suitable structural floor. Professional installation can also be selected where required, helping ensure the safe is securely positioned and correctly fixed. SafeFort Recommendation The Burton Firebrand is an excellent choice where the primary requirement is to protect important paper documents against fire, while retaining the convenience and security of a conventional safe. Its independently certified EN 15659 LFS 60P fire protection is the key reason to choose the Firebrand, providing considerably greater reassurance than a product simply described as “fire resistant” without recognised independent certification. The compact 15-litre Size 1 is particularly well suited to essential household documents and smaller valuables. The 29-litre Size 2 provides an excellent balance between manageable external dimensions and usable internal capacity, while the 41-litre Size 3 is the best choice where larger quantities of paperwork need to be protected. For customers primarily protecting documents against fire, rather than high-value jewellery or significant amounts of cash, the Firebrand provides an excellent combination of certified protection, practical storage and value. Where higher levels of burglary protection are required alongside certified fire protection, we recommend moving up to one of Burton's independently certified higher-security fire and security safes.
