Registration is now open! The next quarter of BreathMastery begins in early October. October 4–December 20, 2026Sundays, 1:00–2:00 p.m. Eastern TimeLive on Zoom · Recordings includ ed · Beginners welcome$150 for the quarter Join us to practice together and explore the work of K.P. Buteyko, MD, PhD. Through guided breathing exercises, we learn how to increase and preserve CO₂ in the lungs. We also explore the lifestyle factors that influence your breathing. Our goal is to make peaceful breathing a natural part of your life, supporting better health, vitality, and inner development—qualities traditionally associated with increased prana or chi. Sasha Yakovleva 1. Personally Guided by Sasha Yakovleva Sasha Yakovleva is the founder of the Buteyko Breathing Center and an Advanced Buteyko Specialist trained at the Buteyko Clinic in Moscow in the work of K.P. Buteyko, MD, PhD, and his colleagues. Sasha personally leads every meeting, guides the breathing exercises, structures each session, and answers participants’ questions. For her, the Buteyko Method is not abstract theory but lived knowledge, rooted in decades of study, personal practice, and teaching. She founded BreathMastery Community in 2019 to help students move beyond information, establish a steady practice, and gradually integrate healthier breathing into daily life. 2. From Understanding to Living Many people understand the importance of healthy breathing but find it difficult to practice consistently. We may learn an exercise, feel its benefits, and then gradually return to our familiar breathing habits. BreathMastery was created to help bridge this gap. Information can begin a change, but regular practice allows that change to become part of us. BreathMastery gives you a place to return each week—to practice, ask questions, receive guidance, and gradually bring healthier breathing into your daily life. The goal is simple: to make peaceful breathing our default. 3. What Happens Inside BreathMastery Each meeting includes guided breathing exercises personally led by Sasha. These practices help participants experience the effects of lighter, quieter, more efficient breathing rather than only learning about it intellectually. We also explore practical lifestyle factors that shape breathing and CO₂ levels, including movement, walking, stress, sleep, rest, food, environment, seasonal rhythms, and daily habits. The group also includes time for questions, reflection, and shared learning. BreathMastery is not only a class. It is a co-creative community where participants support one another, share discoveries, and grow through steady practice. You will not be left alone with a collection of recordings and instructions. You will have a weekly place to practice with an experienced teacher and a community of people following the same path. 4. Who BreathMastery Is For Do you wake up tired, feel tense during the day, get out of breath or cough while talking, or find it difficult to settle down at night? BreathMastery brings the Buteyko method into your daily life to help you develop calmer, more efficient breathing that supports better sleep, clearer focus, greater ease during physical activity, and overall health and well-being. Through regular guided practice, you’ll learn to recognize and reduce overbreathing, become more comfortable breathing through your nose, and use practical techniques to help you unwind when stress builds. The way you breathe during these exercises will become your reference point for healthy breathing around the clock. The goal is to make peaceful breathing habitual, so the benefits of your practice become part of how you sleep, work, move, speak, and feel each day. BreathMastery may be especially valuable if: You understand Buteyko but struggle to practice consistently You want guided breathing exercises rather than information alone You are interested in increasing CO₂ and improving breathing efficiency You want to understand how movement, sleep, stress, food, rest, and other lifestyle factors affect breathing You value personal guidance and the opportunity to ask questions You want the encouragement and accountability of a live community You sense that healthy breathing is connected not only with physical health but also with awareness and inner development You do not need to be advanced to join. You may participate at your own level, whether you are new to Buteyko or have practiced the method for many years. What matters most is openness and a willingness to practice. 5. Why CO₂ Matters CO₂ plays a central role in healthy breathing, oxygen delivery, nervous system balance, vitality, and inner stability. In Dr. Buteyko’s work, low CO₂ is one of the main hidden problems of modern life. Many people breathe more than they need to, and this chronic overbreathing gradually depletes CO₂ and undermines health. As CO₂ improves through breathing practice and supportive lifestyle changes, breathing often becomes lighter, more peaceful, and more efficient. The nervous system may become calmer, and people may experience more energy, clarity, resilience, and well-being. This is why the Buteyko Method is not only a set of breathing exercises. It is a different way of understanding health and human development. 6. Benefits of Joining BreathMastery Community gives you a living space to practice regularly, ask questions, receive guidance, and deepen your understanding of breathing and lifestyle. Through steady participation, healthier breathing and higher CO2 levels become not only something you understand, but something you begin to live. 7. Who Can Join?
