Asclepias tuberosa full sun grows 18-24" tall, perennial. One of the most visually appealing native plants you can find! Requires a 4 week period of cold stratification to germinat e. Best sown outside in late fall or very early spring. Dislikes transplanting. May take up to three years to flower, but once mature, produces blazing orange blooms that provide a thriving environment for monarchs, hence its namesake.
