Designed with a focus on speed and enhanced performance compared to the original, the BV2 is tailored to excel in smaller, weaker waves. James Cheal ingeniously blended features from the original Black Vulture, resulting in a speed-generating board with an ample sweet spot. The BV2 boasts a full nose, maximizing paddle power and speed in flat or fat surf conditions. The middle section is elegantly curvey, offering a smooth rail line for easy turns. The wide point is slightly more forward than a regular board, further enhancing the board's maneuverability. Towards the tail, James removed the semi-flyer found in the original Black Vulture. This modification introduces a straighter rail line into the swallow, providing exceptional hold and control during turns.With a flat-medium entry and a flat-medium tail exit, the BV2 exhibits slightly less tail rocker than the original Black Vulture. This tweak results in a speed-generating bottom, ensuring an exhilarating ride. The bottom contour features a single concave from the nose down to the bottom third of the board. It then transitions into a very slight double concave that runs out through the tail behind the fins.
