Description: Bottles can cause cavities, ear infections, poor appetites, speech problems and iron deficiency anemia in toddlers over 12 months. This card offers four different ways to wean a toddler from the bottle - slowly reduce the number of bottles; slowly reduce the amount of milk in the bottles; give the bottle to the 'Bottle Fairy'; or toss the bottle. Parents are encouraged to choose a method that makes sense to them. Suggestions on how to make weaning easier are also provided. This card is written in a conversational format.
