They arrive in a rundown coastal town and find refuge in a dilapidated guesthouse called Byzantium, owned by the grieving and lonely Noel. Clara transforms the guesthouse into a brothel to secure income, while Eleanor, introspective and morally conflicted, befriends a terminally ill young man named Frank and reveals a fictionalized version of their past to him.
