Douglas C-124 Globemaster airplane model. The C-124 was an evolution of the Douglas C-74. With its "clamshell" loading doors and hydraulic ramps, and elevator under the rear fusela ge, cargo handling became much easier. It could handle large, bulky items like tanks, field guns, bull dozers, and trucks.
