Cohen was born in 1944 in Greenwich Village (Manhattan) into th e heart of the Abstract Expressionist, avant garde art scene. She did her undergraduate work in Madison, WI and later moved to the Bay Area and completed her Doctorate in Psychology at U.C. Berkeley, This would form the foundation for her practice as an artist and a psychologist. Late 20th Century Acrylic on Canvas 6.75"x8.25" framed, 4.75"x7" unframed Double framed with an interior hand-built lath wood frame floating in a contemporary wood floater frame with maple finish and black shelf.
