A favourite early cabbage, with pointed heads of excellent flavour. Sow under glass early February, or in succession outdoors March-July. Summer/Autumn maturing. RHS Award of Garde n Merit winner. Growing Information Sow under glass early February, or in succession outdoors March-July. Sowing Information Sow thinly March-June into a finely raked seedbed at a depth of 13mm. Germination can take 7-12 days. Transplant with a trowel when large enough to handle, allowing 30cm (12") between plants each way. Alternatively sow Jan-Feb in a propagator on a windowsill or in a greenhouse at approx., 10-15C (50-60F) using good quality compost. Cover with 6mm sieved compost. Transplant seedlings into 75mm (3") pots. Grow on and finally plant outside in well cultivated soil for early crops. Show more
