PRODUCT DESCRIPTION LONELY KIDS CLUB x CABIN FEVER CREW Cabin Fever Crew was established by Jessica Tassone in 2019. She was living in a inner west warehouse when COVID-19 struck, and was suffering serious Cabin Fever. The booming weekend bass was quickly replaced with the ever diminishing sounds of Marrickville planes overhead. The Cabin Fever Crew logo is representative of the time and place of which it was created. Tassone’s past endeavours with the Sydney music scene were gate-kept and sometimes unsafe, so she wanted to focus on creating equal opportunities and a safe space for ravers and performers alike. Seeing a gap in the market, she created Cabin Fever Crew - an inclusive women-lead Sydney music collective that welcomes all, skill shares, and collaborates with other ethical and accountable brands. The Cabin Fever mission is not ‘biggest and swankiest’, but ‘most safe and loving’. We want to take care of each other and enjoy each other for who we all are. We want to do something different, we want to work hard and play hard with our friends. We want our performers to feel free to express themselves without briefs and ticket sale quotas. At first, Cabin Fever Crew ran weekly COVID safe streams featuring DJs from Tassone’s local area. This transformed into a fortnightly residency with Orbital Radio (6-8PM Fridays), and the show has continued to grow with co-hosts Dread Maiden and KreliaS from Newy Bass Crew. Eventually when things started opening back up, Cabin Fever Crew expanded and entered the events space, throwing multiple warehouse parties and collaborating with sister brand SHOOK on ‘BASS SHIP’ at Knox St Bar, and project ‘ROAR’, with a heavy focus on femme/gender diverse line-ups.
