NTC3396 is the accelerator cable for Left Hand Drive Defender models, connecting the throttle pedal to the fuel injection pump or carburettor throttle linkage on 2.5-litre diesel e ngines. This mechanical cable transmits driver input directly to the fuelling system, and a worn or stretched cable can result in sluggish throttle response, sticking, or an inability to return to idle. Correct cable length and end fitting geometry are critical on LHD configurations, as the routing differs from Right Hand Drive vehicles.
