Cacao Azteque is a warm, spicy, floral scent created for Men and Women in 2017 by perfumer Mathieu Nardin. After a few minutes, that fades and you get the spices and flowers, and this becomes an intimate, spicy, warm, subtle scent that stays close to the skin. It is soft but lasting, and can be worn to the office, as well as any formal or casual occasion you see fit. Its warmth makes it best suited for colder weather. It has a similarity to Living Lalique with a spicier element. Inspiration Cacao Azteque takes inspiration from “The Drink of the Gods”, and the Aztecs' high value for Cocoa. Cocoa Absolute is blended with spices and Rum to recreate Xocolatl, a spicy and stimulating potion drunk by kings and chieftains that would give them God-like wisdom and power. Notes Though Cacao Absolute sits in the base of this scent, it can be felt immediately upon application, but soon mellows and becomes a subtle background sweetness. Within minutes, a warm, spicy blanket is pulled over you, made up of Black Pepper, Pink Pepper, and Cardamom, and then warmed with Rhum Absolute. A soft floral pop comes next with Orchid and Tuberose Absolute, which helps to soften the spices. Pittosporum and Sandalwood add a delicate wood accord to the base, followed closely by sultry Musk.
