Succulents are slow growing, low maintenance plants that can survive long periods with little or no water and thrive on neglect. Succulents can be kept in well lit or sunny areas, soft fleshy leaved plants may require more light to keep shape than hard bodied plants. In warmer months water well but allow plant to completely dry, in winter only water lightly if in a dry area, otherwise do not water. Fertiliser may be applied in Spring and Summer only. Any plant that appears too large can be cut short to regrow. To test for moisture feel the temperature of the pot, when moist ceramic will feel much cooler than room temperature.
