"A Woman is like a Teabag, you only know how strong she is when she is in hot water." This painting was inspired by this quote, it struck a chord with me, making me think of all of the times that I have sat with the amazing women in my life, discussing problems, mending wounds and bringing a sense of peace. This painting makes me think of brewing tea, and of the wisdom that can be found in the simple act of taking time. Cailleach can be translated to mean "Wise Woman." 30 x 30cm round mixed media piece.
