This Creil et Montereu porcelain compotier is the r esult of a merger between the Creil and Montereau factories in 1840. Originating in Creil, France, in 1797 and Montereau in 1819, these factories initially produced earthenware and later porcelain. The maker's mark dates these plates between 1876 and 1920.
