The platform is hand thrown on the potters wheel and the top is then glazed. The elegant and sculptural base is also thrown on the wheel by one of our skilled potters. Each piece is fired separately and then the Cake Stand is fired together as a whole.As each piece is made by hand there will sometimes be some slight variation in colour and size, but we see this as part of their individual character and charm.
