Cake Safe Acrylic disc- Round Use the CakeSafe® Acrylic Disks to achieve perfectly crisp edges on each tier. Each set of the Buttercream Acrylic Disks includes 2 disks with the size engraved. Each disk is also etched with a center marking and line around the edge to help you center your tier. Centre Hole Option ***All of our disks will now come with center holes*** The 3/8" center hole helps bakers to center their cake tiers on the disks by using a temporary dowel as they ice. If you do not chill your cakes before icing with the disks, you will need to put a temporary dowel through the disks and cake to make sure your layers do not shift. The center holes do not affect the performance of the disks, should you choose not to use them. Most customers prefer the center hole as it helps them center their cake tiers on the disks with the use of a temporary dowel as they ice What is the best size for me and my cakes? We want to make sure that you are ordering the correct size disk for your specific cakes. Before you order, please make sure you measure your finished cakes and the bottom of your cake pans to prevent having to exchange your disks for a new size.
