The 'Medallion' variety has light and dark green patterns on the tops of the leaves and a deep purple underside. Watch its leaves open and close at dawn and dusk. Plus, it's a mighty air purifier so it'll clean up any nasties from your room too. Keep the soil moist but not overwatered and move away from direct sunlight. Colours may vary! Origin: South American Rainforests Height/Growth: A quick grower that can easily reach 60cm tall. Light: Prefers dappled light, not direct sunshine and can withstand shay positions Temperature: These tropical plants thrive in warm rooms and dislike drafts. Feeding: Apply a weak dose of a nitrogen rich foliage fertiliser once or twice a month during the growing season. Grooming: Wipe the leaves with a damp cloth to remove dust, so that it can breathe properly. Care: High humidity levels are a must. Stand on a wet pebble tray to improve humidity and mist frequently.
