The Calder Coffee Table starts with a single elm slab - sourced from a tree in Excelsior, MN - and lets the material do most of the talking. The matte black finish brings a clean, moody tone to the wood while keeping the grain texture fully visible, so you still get all the movement and character of the elm underneath. It's a finish that feels intentional without covering up what makes the piece interesting. The freeform slab top sits on a semi-circle steel base finished in a matching matte black powdercoat - simple in form, solid in presence. At 37"x38" and 18" tall, it works well as a primary coffee table without overwhelming a space.
