What is Calendula Oil? • 🌼Calendula oil is processed from the petals of POT marigold (different than our “regular” garden variety) plants that we harvested and dried from our farm last year! • 🌼Calendula flower has been used for cosmetic, culinary and medicinal purposes for centuries. • 🌼Calendula oil is commonly used in skincare products for its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. • 🌼Calendula petals contain five compounds: Oleanolic acid, lupeol, quercetin, alpha amyrin, and beta amyrin. These compounds are known to provide antioxidant protection, and at the same time, soothe your skin and reduce discomfort. • 🌼These flowers are not just for skincare! They can be brewed into tea or used as an herb in foods also! • From the farm! • 🌼We infuse calendula, by hand, into our organic olive, avocado, and jojoba oils ourselves.
