The Calico line has been selectively bred for its beautiful feather patterns, even temperaments, and dependable fertility. Incubation takes about 17 to 18 days at 99.5°F, with humidity levels between 45 and 50 percent. When you reach lockdown, increase humidity to around 65 to 70 percent for best results. Let your eggs rest pointed side down for 12 to 24 hours before incubation, and don’t wash them — that natural protective coating helps keep your hatchlings safe and sound. While hatch rates can vary depending on your incubator and care, we do everything we can to give your quail the best possible start.
