Calima is an open-pollinated French filet bean that produces early, heavy loads of long, slender beans with a sweet and delicate green bean flavor that is sure to please even the pickiest of eaters. If you are looking for an easy-to-grow, high-yielding, delicious bean, Calima is it. Vigorous, bush-type plants produce early yields of slim, stringless beans that are exceptionally tender and almost always stringless. What's more, the beans are held high on the plant, so they develop straight and are kept virtually free of dirt and grime. We really couldn't have more good things to say about this variety...except that they're also drought tolerant and in 2024, were the healthiest, most disease-free variety in our trials. Okay, that's it. Calima matures 50 to 55 days after sowing. Each packet contains a minimum of 50 seeds.
