Callinectes Sapidus Thrown, d.38cm, high fired R/E, Slipped and decorated 1/1 Red Earthenware clay exudes a warmth and modesty of character that lends itself to what we as makers a re trying to achieve with this body of work – simple pots, simply made, barely touched. This piece is part of a family of pots recently made at our studio in Belfast, where every member of our small team has a hand in the making. From our range Isle, this pot is 1/1 and part of a body of landscape sketches looking down and in, as opposed to the ‘traditional’ landscape. Inspired by the coast, rocks, pools and notional maps off the Donegal coast these pieces are constantly growing, changing, and never to be repeated. Show more
