This liquid wetting agent is very helpful when dyeing tightly woven fabrics or for generally increasing evenness of dyeing. Calsolene Oil breaks the surface tension of the water an d 'wets-out' the fabric making it easier to dye. Add 2 tablespoons per 8 lb. washing machine load or 1/2 teaspoon per gallon of water before adding predissolved dye. It can also be added to concentrated dye solutions for direct application as in tie-dye and handpainting if the dye is not spreading enough. Show more
