Small but impressive. The CamelBak Rouge Light hydration backpack boasts many great features. When I unpacked it, I immediately noticed the low weight, the very compact shape and the high-quality materials including reflective elements. With a volume of 7 litres, the Rouge Light offers enough space for the most essential bike accessories: there is a mesh pocket inside for a multitool. Tyre levers and a spare inner tube can be stored in the internal compartment. A mini pump and a smartphone can be stored in the large outer pocket. I stored my windbreaker, gloves and helmet cap in the elastic pocket. However, it' s best to start with the 2-litre hydration bladder when packing, as it's a bit difficult to get it into the small opening of the backpack once it's filled. Drinking works excellently and the tube can be quickly reattached to the right carrying strap thanks to Quicklink. There' s nothing that feels unpleasant on the back, chest or shoulders - it's really very comfortable to wear. And thanks to the Air support™ back panel with Body Mapping technology, my back always stayed dry during the bike ride and I didn't break a sweat at all.
