Incentive Camouflage a minibeast in its natural environment. -Line-Shape-Space-Colour-Texture Supplies Art paper A4 paper with printout of Minibeasts Bee [download] Butterfly [download] Caterpillar 1 [download] Caterpillar 2 [download] Cicada [download] Dragonfly [download] Ladybird [download] Pencils Paint (preferably watercolours) Medium paintbrush Oil pastels Scissors Craft glue Lesson 1 Draw a minibeast or provide children with an outline of one on A4 paper (See templates above in Supplies list) Large bodied minibeasts are best for example caterpillars, flies, beetles, butterflies etc. 2 Colour minibeast in three or 4 coloured oil pastels only. Cut out minibeast. 3 Draw large flowers all over the art paper with large leaves to fill up spaces. 4 Paint entire page using the same three colours used on the minibeast. 5 When paint is dry, outline flowers and leaves in the same coloured oil pastels. 6 Paste minibeast on the background. Take care to place it in a position where it is mostly camouflaged. The minibeast does not need to be pasted flat. It can be glued on either ends of its body to give a raised look. 7 Display on one of the colours used in the painting.
