Contrasting a solo sport rooted in rebellion and oftentimes bleak realities, the deck design portrays the sense of escape that is universal to the members of it's low-key, largely misunderstood society. Drawing on the sense of peace that skating provides, a handful of bright cheerful flowers decorate the typeface. Yet these color coordinated crosshairs gracing the floral arrangement depict a juxtaposition often felt by core skaters. While skateboarding is a leisure activity - it's no secret that it's participants have to stay vigilant, ready to react to the opposition of security guards and bad actors alike. This mirrors the psychological undercurrent that represents the Camp Dappington movement, something that goes hard but is never afraid to show a softer side. This playful typography sheds light on a recurring archetype: a lifelong skater at heart that refuses to "grow up".
