These stylish boho-style earrings convey the casual and exotic sense of the Amazon. The intricate geometric patterns are woven from caña flecha - the cane that is named for the long stiff plant whose stems are made into arrows by traditional Amazon hunters. The inner core is made of strong and flexible resin. These models feature a curved rectangular base that are adorned with a variety of beads and seeds. Accent stone colors include green, blue, orange and purple. Additionally, some are accented by huayruru seeds, naturally occurring two-tone seeds from this distinctive group of tropical trees in the bean family, and are mostly orange with a distinctive black patch. Throughout the Amazon they are considered to bring the bearer good luck, but it is important to remember that they are not edible. Different closely related huayruru species (Ormosia spp.) have small, medium or large size seeds. Please note these earrings each have a unique pattern.
