Carmel Candelilla Wax is derived from the leaves of the small Candelilla shrub, a plant native to the Chihuahua desert in northeastern Mexico. The wax is hard, brittle, and availab le in crude and refined. The crude form comes in a solid piece, is opaque, and is tan in color. The refined form is yellow and comes in several grades.
