How to use one properly: Hold the handle – Grasp the candle snuffer by its long handle so your hand stays a safe distance from the flame. Position the bell – Lower the bell end directly over the flame. Don’t press it into the wax; just cover the flame completely. Extinguish the flame – The snuffer deprives the flame of oxygen, so it will go out within a second or two. Lift away gently – Once the flame is out, lift the snuffer straight up. Avoid dragging it through the melted wax. Wipe if needed – Occasionally, soot can build up inside the rabbit. Wipe it clean with a soft cloth after the snuffer cools down. Show more
