Oil painting on canvas board titled Candlelight, 2022. Dimensions are 10 x 8 inches (25.4 x 20.3 cm). Some context... One night as I sat listening to music and working on a drawing , I looked up at the burning candle on a brass candlestick and I was drawn into the flickering flame; the hot blue light shining at the base. The candle was close to burning to the end as its pair already had, and its light radiated through most of its short body. I watched the fire dance and took a few deep grounding breaths, snapped a picture for reference, and got back to drawing.I bring that moment back to share with you here. Show more
