For a short two years, the Cape Cod Cubs became the first professional hockey team in the Cape. Playing in the Cape Cod Coliseum, they won the EHL central division in their first year. When the EHL went under at the end of the summer, they took up in the newly formed NAHL. In their third year, they would rebrand as the Cape Codders.
